We registered our company in February 2008 after becoming disillusioned with working for some other building companies. We are both mature men with an impeccable sense of customer care and commitment to the project at hand. We can supply you with a photographic portfolio, written recommendations (see testimonials) from previous clients and copies of qualifications and Public Liability Insurance.

Although Mid Kent Builders Ltd only comprises of my business partner, our secretary and myself, we are still able to consider any larger contracts as we utilise other trades as and when we need to call on them.

Myself, Jerry Stockbridge, started learning to be a bricklayer in 1989 and subsequently acquired a City & Guilds qualification in 1992. Although I have left the building trade a couple of times to pursue other employment, I have acquired some 15 years experience within the building trade at various levels.
I joined Kent Police in September 2003 and after serving 3 ½ years as a Police Constable I resigned in March 2007 to pursue the creation of a building company to fill a gap in the market, Top quality building work coupled with excellent customer care.

Greg Todd left school and went straight into the building trade learning a multitude of skills, focusing predominately on carpentry. He has also left the building trades to pursue other lines of employment and in the early 1990’s he joined an industrial and drainage cleansing company where he rose to the position of contracts manager. He later returned to the building trade gaining 15 years experience carrying out various contracts.

We are supported by our secretary Maxine who runs the office and deals with the majority of the administration and clerical duties.

To date we have always kept to the time scales estimated for a project and at times completing earlier than scheduled.

We can undertake any projects, large or small. Although we are predominately in the domestic market, commercial projects will be considered.

We also work in partnership with EDMED STOVES.  We can install any stove and its relevant paraphernalia supplied by EDMED STOVES along with any structual alterations necessary and any making good required after the installation, plastering etc. Please click here to open EDMED STOVES website in a new window.

We hold a Public Liabilty Insurance policy up to £5,000,000.

We also hold a current Waste Carriers Licence, registered with the Enviroment Agency.

For small to medium sized projects We NEVER request any payments until the works are complete and to your satisfaction.

For larger projects we still DO NOT request any advance payments but do require a staged payment program. Full details will depend on the project itself and will be discussed and arranged in agreement with yourself.
